I have previously written about the mixture of honey and garlic as a way to improve your immune system.

This time, I will reveal you the secret of the honey and lemon mixture.

Use hot water, and add a tablespoon of honey and juice from one fresh lemon.

Drink the mixture two times per day, once in the morning and once in the evening to soothe a cough.


I know I know, you cannot stand the vapor of the onion and you cry.

However, man up if you like to stop your cough instantly.

Cut one onion into quarters and leave it on a plate.

Position the plate along your bed.

You do not even need to consume the onions, just let place them at your bedside.

Best of all, this home remedy is safe even for children and babies and has been used for years in France and Spain.


Another veggie that is quite unpopular due to the vapor and the odor they leave in our soul.

However, garlic is a superfood that can treat many diseases, cough included.

The best way is to steam or boil some garlic, and then breathe in the steam.

Or if you can, just eat some garlic before you go to bed.

Once you wake up in the morning, you will feel better.

Sugar and Lemon

Now, this home remedy is much more effective with some hard liquor, but if you want to give it your kids, use lemon instead.

The trick is that lemon contains high amounts of C vitamin that glue to your throat and stop the cold.

Get one tablespoon of sugar, and then sprinkle some lemon juice on it.

Drink/eat it before you go to bed.

As mentioned, you can try with hard liquor as well.

Hot Peppers

Spicy foods are known to ease cough, and for this home remedy, you need to eat just one or two hot peppers through the day.

After a day or two, you will already feel your irritation-soothing.

Carrot Juice

Carrots are extremely rich in vitamin and nutrients that reduce the symptoms of cough.

You can add a teaspoon of honey in this mix for even better results.

Prepare a carrot juice from four or five carrots and add some water.

Drink three times per day, and after few days, you’ll notice your symptoms have reduced.


This is one of my favorite home remedies for cough, since I love almonds.

And the best part is, consuming almonds provides you with several nutrients including protein and fiber.

Now, to prepare the almond home remedy, soak six almonds in water for up to 10 hours.

After that, blend the almonds until you get smooth paste.

Add one teaspoon of butter.

Eat one teaspoon three times per day until the symptoms are gone.
