Juicing Recipes for Energy Boost

Juice is not a replacement for whole fruits and vegetables. However, it lets you fit some of the vegetables you might not eat otherwise. For example, who eats beets or carrots for breakfast? Very few people, and those two veggies are crucial for an energy boost.

How juices boost energy?

If you have hard time getting out of the bed in the morning, juices will come in handy. You might find yourself lacking energy in the morning.

Juicing solves that problem. Juicing allows your body to absorb nutrients more easily, digest them easily, and provide your body the energy it needs. You will find yourself boosting with energy if you start your day with a juice, be it a green juice or some other juice.

Another important aspect, juicing does not provide the same energy like caffeine. But it is way better. Juicing gives you clean energy, and it lasts much longer. There is no crash, there is no craving for sweets afterward, or any other unhealthy habit.

Drinking fresh vegetable juice will allow you to get the benefits of more greens that you can chew or eat in a single day. You can actually get three to four cups of vegetables in a single cup of green juice.

Top 6 Juices for Energy

Classic green juice

This is the classic, and probably most common juice for energy. If you are looking for an alternative to caffeine in the morning, green juice should be on top of your list. Chlorophyll, which is the green pigment giving vegetables its color, helps oxygenate the blood, which increases physical energy.

Ingredients include:

  • 1 large cucumber
  • 8 stalks of celery
  • 1 handful of kale
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • ¼ lemon

Purple power

If you are long enough in the juicing world, you will understand that there are two to three colors you love in your juice. One is green, and then there are red and purple. The last one usually equals some berries, and they are extremely rich in antioxidants. But also pineapple, another beneficial fruit. Here are the ingredients for this juice:

  • 1 pear
  • 1 beet without skin
  • 1 green apple without skin
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cup grapefruit, sliced, skin not included
  • 2 cups of sliced pineapple without skin
  • 1 inch ginger root

Citrus juice

Citrus juices are great for an energy boost. They are rich in vitamin C, but also because of their high watery content, citrus juices provide refreshment your body lacks. And they help you flush out toxins, which means you will feel more energized and your stamina will be back. For one serving of this juice, you will need

  • 1 orange, peeled
  • ½ lemon, with no skin
  • ½ grapefruit, peeled

Vegetable juice

Usually, the first association for a vegetable juice is a green juice. Understandably so, given how leafy greens are among the most popular ingredients for juices. But you can also go with other veggies. This one requires:

  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 large celery stalks
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • ½ handful of parsley

Red power juice

We talked previously how red is a popular color in juicing. Beets, the main ingredient in red juices, have high anti-inflammatory properties. But they also help you detoxify your body, which is crucial for an energy boost. Ingredients include:

  • 1 beet
  • 1 orange
  • ½ lemon
  • 3 carrots
  • ½ inch ginger root

Spicy stamina juice

When it comes to juices, most people strive to achieve that sweet, but not so sweet taste. Sour juices are definitely not something you want. But then there are people that do not mind drinking something spicy. If that is the case, we have an ideal spicy drink.

  • 4 carrots
  • 2 green apples
  • 2 ounces wheat grass
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 diced jalapeno
  • ½ handful of spinach
