That will allow you to minimize symptoms, and allow your body to function properly. Here are some foods your body absolutely needs for your thyroid.

Leafy greens

All of the leafy greens fall into this category, including spinach, lettuce, and other. Leafy greens are great sources of magnesium, a mineral that plays a role in more than 300 enzyme processes in our body. Without magnesium, you might experience fatigue, muscle cramps, and change in heartbeat. Low magnesium levels are also associated with hypothyroidism.

Nuts

Nuts give you iron and zinc. These two minerals are also important for your thyroid hormones. Not to mention, they provide your thyroid with selenium, another important mineral. You can choose from a variety of options, including pumpkin seeds, walnuts, cashews, almonds, Brazil nuts, and more.

Seafood

Your thyroid needs iodine to function properly. And one of the healthiest and best sources of iodine is seafood. That includes both fish and seafood like shrimps. Just try to avoid iodine-rich sources, as too much iodine can make your condition worse.

Kale
