We all know that the food we eat is crucial for our health and well-being. But what we often underestimate is how much the food we consume or do not consume can affect our skin health. Our skin requires nourishment from within, not just with creams and lotions. To be frank, it is even more effective when you nourish your skin with healthy nutrients from within. Here are some foods to consume, and to avoid for healthy and glowing skin.

Foods to Eat for Beautiful Skin

Kale

Kale is considered a superfood and with a good cause. Loaded in vitamin A, C, and Vitamin K, this leafy green helps reduce dark circles under your eyes. Kale also provides antioxidants and iron, crucial ingredients for strengthening and tightening your skin. Consume it on a daily basis to reduce wrinkles and fine lines.

Carrots

The main reason we consume carrots is to get some beta-carotene in our system. Beta-carotene acts as a natural sunscreen and sunblock. Carrots help our skin by providing antioxidants that provide protection against the sun. No more dry and wrinkled skin.

Avocado

One of the best sources of healthy fats, avocado keeps your skin moisturized and flexible. Avocado can also protect you from sun damage, and reduce visible aging signs like wrinkles. Last, but not least, avocado is a good source of vitamin E, crucial ingredient protecting your skin from oxidative damage.

Broccoli

Carbonated drinks and high sugar sodas are bad for your skin in two ways. For starters, they are loaded with sugar, causing spikes in your insulin levels. Junk food

There are not enough words to explain in just how many ways junk food can cause damage to your skin. For starters, junk food is rich in sugars. They cause hormone levels to spike, causing excess oil production. Last, but not least, their high sodium content can dehydrate your skin and give it a dull appearance.
