The only thing worse than stomach pain is a stiff neck.
I can stand with a headache, sore throat, toothache (ok maybe this one is in the top 3) …you get my point.
It is not the pain itself since you can stand still, stop moving, and the pain will be decreased.
But, the pain “hits” you receive every time you forgot and move as a reaction…THAT is driving me crazy.
What about you?
And there’s more…
A stiff neck can be just a small piece of the pie. You can also experience arm pain, headaches, shoulder pain, etc.
WHAT CAUSES STIFF NECK
I don’t want to get into anatomy and stuff, but I learned that it is about soft tissue sprain to the levator scapula muscle. (usually!)
It can be caused by stress, a constant position of the body, inadequate pillow, sleeping positions, inadequate mattress, etc.
HOW YOU CAN RELIEVE THE PAIN
As simple as a rolled-up towel. (I know… but give it a try)
The techniques that physical therapists use (with a rolled-up towel) is based on using the body’s weight to provide a gentle pressure and stretching.
To not just tell you, but also show you, I want you to watch this video from care4your body YT channel where you can get all the necessary guidance on how to do it yourself.
The video has over 9.6 million views, and I think you should bookmark it. (and share it with your friends)
Just look at the facial expression of the girl after the procedure.
